February 06, 2019

Angelina Jolie, an Academy Award-winning Hollywood star and a special envoy for the U.N.'s Refugee Agency visited our Field Hospital yesterday. She met one of our patients in the hospital who delivered a baby just the day before. She congratulated the mother, and wished her a healthy life. Other patients also shared their health condition and the services they receive from us with her. She appreciated for the health care and maternity services BDRCS provides to the people of Rakhine state living in Cox’s Bazar despite having so many challenges.

“It is their basic right to get access to health care services, education and a fearless life” Jolie said. She thanked Bangladesh for hosting the vulnerable population despite being overpopulated, and urged the international community to provide more resources for the community.
