BDRCS, in cooperation with International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), organized a three-day training on Violence Prevention and Response Project for Red Crescent staffs at the training room of its National Head Quarters in Dhaka. 24 Midwives and Community Health Promoters of BDRCS run Maternal and child health (MCH) Centers from four districts of Bangladesh (Satkhira, Khulna, Barishal and Dhaka) participated in the training.
Honorable Treasurer of BDRCS Advocate Tauhidur Rahman was present as chief guest during the opening of the training. Honorable Managing Board Members of BDRCS Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury Helal and Ms. Razia Sultana Luna were present as special guests. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director-in-Charge of Fund Raising Department of BDRCS also gave a speech to motivate the participants. The training program was conducted by the Deputy Director of BDRCS Dr. Shahana Jafar.
The chief guest said: “BDRCS is going to start a new activity in four districts of Bangladesh through which many mothers and children will be benefited.”
