MoU signed with ShelterBox Trust today
NHQ, BDRCS/Oct 17: To support the flood-affected population in the Kurigram District, Bangladesh, BDRCS and ShelterBox has signed a MoU today. BMM Mozharul Huq, ndc, Secretary General, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Nazmul Azam Khan, Director, Response and representatives from shelterBox Trust was present on the occasion. Taking into account the nature of devastation in Northern Bangladesh and the need to respond to the emergency needs of the affected people, in the Kurigram District, the MoU aims at facilitating the relief offered by ShelterBox for the benefit of the concerned populations. Acknowledging the emergency response nature of ShelterBox's work, a flexible agreement between the two organizations has been agreed upon to enable the facilitation of an on-going supportive role where the need is identified by both parties. ShelterBox is providing 1000 Shelter Kits (each including x2 tarpaulins), 2000 Tarpaulins, 2000 Mosquito Nets, 2000 Solar lights and 6000 Blankets to the flood affected people.
