Training Department

The training department established in 1997 with a vision 'To increase motivational capacity, social awareness, management & leadership capability of volunteers & staff members of the society which will help to achieve the characteristics of well functioning National Society'.

Basic Tasks

- Organize and provide Basic Training on RC /RC Movement and First Aid for the officers, staffs and volunteers.
- Organize and provide skill development training for the community volunteers regarding First Aid, Search and Rescue (SAR) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) especially for community Based projects and programmes.
- Organize and assist internal training/Seminar/Workshop etc.
- Assist and coordinate with IFRC for organizing different regional and
- International training courses
- The department also sells First Aid, Search & Rescue, DRR training for staff & volunteers of NGOs, Foreign missions, Industrial sectors, Banks and other organizations.

Achievements

- BDRCS training department Developed capacity building training for newly recruited officers, staffs and volunteers regarding RC/RC movement and First Aid
- Enhanced knowledge and skill regarding First Aid, Disaster Risk Reduction and Search & Rescue especially for community volunteer groups.
- Developed large number of facilitators through TOT courses for conducting community based trainings and SAR training for other National Societies.
